"The Doughertys of Kentucky"

I tried Bookfinder and Amazon and emailed the Kentucky Historical Society after Googling for half an hour trying to find William C. Stewart's three articles on the Doughertys of Kentucky printed in the Register of the Kentucky Historical Society, which is available online only for recent issues. For goodness's sake, the articles are all available on Ancestry.com. There may be better ways, but I printed the pages one at a time using the "canvas" system. Slow, sure, but what a boon.

William C. Stewart was a great historian.

How strange it is to find how many ancestors lived in Chester Co., Pennsylvania, as we did in the 1990s. And to learn that the Dougherty immigrant pack named the Chester County Londonderry, PA, nearby, before heading off to Virginia, then Kentucky and Tennessee and onward.
