Well, he may be younger but he graduated in 1958. My paragraph is not elegantly written, you will see. The skepticism about my being the greatest Melville scholar of all time could have been avoided by saying "Harrison Hayford called him . . . ." However, it's my fault. I wanted to get the 2019 publication on the Lamar State College of Technology record.
