13 January 2020 played audio of Act 2 of Troilus and Cressida and Act 1 of King John.
In the audio I am playing, the Bastard in King John is pretty dull and dreary. A little later in 1956 I was sure the actor who played the Bastard also played Hotspur. You need that sort of wit and swagger. That reminds me. Who was the greatest Hotspur on film? I'll bet you did not see Sean Connery. Oh, he was good! He should have had a chance to play the Bastard. I'll see if the film with Connery is available.
