If you go to the EASTERN SIERRA FISHING GUIDE PART 2 you get to see that in the fall of 1874 Thomas Bell of Big Pine raised thousands of rainbow trout from an original stock of 10 trout brought from the Kern River the previous year. Mr. Bell was at that time building another reservoir (covering more than three acres) to be used for breeding more trout.
Any fishing Bells in Mississippi now?
