Photograph an exterior view of the old Bell (Ball?) Flour Mill at Fort Independence, ca.1900. The wooden structure is missing a roof and many pieces of the front wall. The porch is collapsed into a patch of pushes on the left side of the front wall. On the left only a wooden floor remains, raised from the ground. Trees make up the background of the old mill. "Built by A.N. Bell/Ball (?) in 1868. Operated by water power from Oak Creek, under the building. It discontinued in 1909".
OF COURSE, THIS IS BELL, NOT BALL. COUSIN ANDREW NEEL BELL WAS THE OWNER AND BUILDER.
