Whatever Happened to the Book Herman Melville Wrote After ‘Moby-Dick’?
By June 1853, Herman Melville had taken ‘Isle of the Cross’ to his New York publisher. And that is the last time the finished manuscript was seen.
Actually, the next book was PIERRE. What I did was find the title of the lost book, as the writer here says.
