A confession about reading (fast) the popcorn books of James Patterson. "Are you familiar with the procedure called enucleation?"

 Oh, lordy lordy! In Stanford almost two years ago one of the great (not the greatest) ocular oncologists in the country cheerfully told me that they might have to perform enucleation on my best eye, the one going blind.

Minor misdiagnosis, no harm done except in allowing the attack on the retina to progress.

But enucleation is in my vocabulary.
