It looks as if I am going to get a publication in an online magazine on the American Revolution, my first publication in a historical journal since 1964, when the New-York Historical Quarterly printed a piece on Gansevoort Melville's Role in the Campaign of 1844. I tried to subtract 1964 from 2014 but could not arrive at a satisfactory number.
I have been working on this piece for several weeks pretty obsessively and am much relieved that the editor likes it. How satisfying to stuff pdfs and other material into a big manila envelope and label it.
