I just realized that an anniversary was coming up and tried to find the date. It took me a while to realize that I could do what I always do, look for a newspaper. And one with a photograph I had forgotten about. Thursday was the 20th, according to the Beaumont JOURNAL, so graduation was August 22, 1959. I resigned as night telegrapher at Port Arthur (8 pm to 4 am) on the Kansas City Southern and got in my Ford and drove to Northwestern University in time to enroll for the Fall Quarter.
