"Old Rackensack" in letters in the 1850s to my GGG Grandfather Absalom Sims

Well, it had to refer to Arkansas, but I went to Google to confirm it.

I never encountered this before. "Old Rackensack"!

I working with an undated letter but there are clues. Did the Democrats win the presidential election of 1856 in Arkansas by 13,000 votes? That sort of thing I can find out about.
