Colin Dewey
A fine sailor and rope weaver who wanted a Frenchified Cornell PhD and got it despite the best advice we could give him.
My PhD is 100% English Roast Beef, as my experience on the academic job market has proven. God save good Queen Bess, and thank God the Merchant Navy would have me back. And I can still tie a turk's head; starting several on my own railing tomorrow.
