My Cousin Franklin Graham's Worship of Trump on the News Today

Oh, when will the Evangelical leaders become Christian?

2-4 Incredible Lightning and Thunder where we never see or hear any

It's not like the south or the Midwest or the east where you have violent thunderstorms. We almost never do, and this time the lightning really was blinding and the thunder came as BOOMS. At 10, light rain,

Sourdough day

CNN: Deep freeze across the US Updated 9:42 AM ET, Wed January 30, 2019

CAN YOU LOOK AT THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ON CNN?
Twice in the late 1970s I was in Chicago for the COLDEST DAY OF THE CENTURY and the later worse COLDEST DAY OF THE CENTURY. Those painful days were nothing compared to what people in Chicago and much of the rest of the country are suffering now.

Busloads of Refugees from Chicago are HERE! Many of them Topless!

Heading North

Roger Stone looks so old. I have been supporting myself and others since before he was born.

He was born 2 months after I started work for wages in 1952.

What Tormented me Day and Night in the 1980s long before Brodhead and Delbanco Lied about Me

When going gray, I had to think about how far I wanted to go with the process. Did I want to go full silver fox, blend out my growing roots, or add in subtle highlights to help my salt and pepper look along?  Oh, the agony of these decisions.

In 1959-1960 SHOCK of Chicago to a Southerner; in late 1970s 2 days in 2 Chicago Winters, each the coldest day of the century

So Brian Higgins and I carried his car battery by the Moody Bible Institute one of those coldest days. That's nothing like what people are suffering now.

CNN

About 250 million people -- 77% of the continental US population -- face below-freezing temperatures this week. But this isn't just a typical January cold snap. These are some of the coldest temperatures we've seen in a generation, caused by the polar vortex paying us a visit. If you're 25 or younger, "you've never felt this cold before," CNN meteorologist Tom Sater said. In the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes, temps will plunge to 20-40 degrees below zero. Wind chills will be even worse: 35-60 below (here's how to protect yourself). There will be blizzard conditions in some places, too. Snow is even forecast for Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. More than 3,400 flights have been cancelled. The weather has already killed two people, in Minnesota and Illinois.

Scofflaw--"He doesn't usually bite."

That is what she yelled at the man who went past her before me as he tried to move away from the charging dog. HE DOESN'T USUALLY BITE.

I have been suggesting that Evangelicals become Christians. Now it's time for young Catholics to become Christians.

News of the day
A Catholic archdiocese outside Cincinnati is investigating the actions of some of its high school students during the Indigenous Peoples March in Washington Friday.
Some students wearing Make America Great Again hats and clothing surrounded and taunted a Native American troupe as it performed the "American Indian Movement" song about strength and courage.

It's Billy Graham I was a cousin to, not Lindsey. Please get that straight. Hardly a connection.

Lindsey Graham, U.S. Senator is your first cousin four times removed's husband's grandfather's wife's second cousin thrice removed's wife's second great nephew.

75th birthday quilt and younger Scalini

Scalini is still alive, a little stiff in the hind legs--alive thanks to my Dougherty cousin from Indiana. The quilt is a great treasure, made from historically significant Harris Tweed jackets and other garments. It wraps one in good memories. The cat is somehow angelic even when she honks at 5:45 in the morning. She does not get to use the quilt except for photo shoots.

How many pairs did I buy? Will I outlive my mother, who died at 92? What will they do with a leftover pair?
